Marketing
On this page you can find examples of marketing/advertising campaigns I have been a part of while at Michigan State University. All of these projects were done outside of the classroom as part of internships and experiential learning opportunities.

Michigan State University Career Closet

My first task for this project was creating brand guide for the MSU Career Closet. This was a challenge because I did not what to create something that was completely outside the branding of MSU, but was still unique and eye catching.

Next, I adapted original copy to a flyer that could be used to advertise the Career Closet around campus.

I wanted to make sure that this flyer included all the necessary information, but also was interesting for students. Because students are always being bombarded with information around campus, it was important that the Career Closet's marketing materials were unique and eye-catching.

In this role, I also got to create some social media posts that can be adapted for later use. These varied from promotional posts to posts that were aimed at educating students on the service and the importance of dressing well for interviews and professional events.

In any Instagram campaign I work on, I like to put a bit of humor into the work so as to encourage users to stop scrolling and actually engage in the content. Especially when you are trying to catch an algorithm, I think it is important to strike the right tone that will connect with an audience and the current trends of social media.
